Credit Controller Role Overview: Recruit Ventures is seeking a Credit Controller to join our Credit Control Team at our Dereham office, just outside Norwich, Norfolk. Free on-site parking: at our Dereham office. In this hands-on role, you will proactively manage and recover funds, ensuring customers pay on time and in full. You will take ownership of the end-to-end credit control process including conducting credit checks, issuing invoices and credit notes, running dunning (payment reminder) schedules, producing debtor reports, confirming insurance cover, and reporting on collection status to our directors. This position offers real ownership of your ledger and the opportunity to drive process improvements, making it akin to a client account management role. Credit Controller Key Responsibilities: Actively manage a portfolio of client accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices and recovery of funds. Handle the full credit control cycle, including credit checks, issuing credit notes and invoices, and executing dunning processes for overdue payments. Produce regular aged debtor reports and monitor credit insurance cover for client accounts. Provide updates on collection activities and prepare call reports for company directors, keeping leadership informed of any issues. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, delivering a high level of customer service in all interactions and acting in a capacity similar to account management. Identify and suggest improvements to current credit control processes. About You (Candidate Profile) Proven experience as a Credit Controller, with a solid understanding of end-to-end credit control processes. Experience in client account management (highly advantageous). Client-focused with a strong customer service approach. Organised and adaptable, comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word (strong IT skills in MS Office). Proactive and detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset. Broader finance assistant experience (advantageous but not required). A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels. Able to develop and maintain positive customer relationships, dealing professionally and efficiently with clients.
