HGV Class 2 Driver – Temp to Perm

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for an ongoing Temp to Perm position based in Rochester. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with great earning potential.

Pay & Hours
1. Salary: £43,per annum
2. Bonus: Up to £1,quarterly
3. Guaranteed 48 hours pay per week (Monday to Friday)
4. Overtime available on Saturdays (paid at time and a half, 6th shift only)
5. Weekly hours: Average 48 hours (12-hour shifts typical)
6. Weekly pay every Friday
Bonus may be reduced based on attendance, accidents, scanning compliance, health & safety, and delivery performance.
Shift Pattern
7. Monday to Friday (contract states any 5 from 7 days)
8. Start times: Between 04:00 – 06:00
9. Flexibility required during peak periods
10. Own transport required due to early starts
The Role
11. Home delivery of kitchens across: Kent, Sussex, London, Surrey, Hampshire & Oxford
12. Working as part of a 2-man crew with a Porter
13. Physically demanding role – heavy lifting involved
14. Deliveries made to customers’ room of choice
15. All items must be scanned
16. Deliveries must be completed within set time windows
17. Porter to make customer ETA calls and record deliveries
18. Vehicles are pre-loaded overnight – no loading required
19. Parking issues must be reported to delivery support/transport office
20. Vehicles are fitted with 7 cameras (full compliance required)
21. Strong timekeeping and professionalism essential
Requirements
22. Valid UK HGV Class 2 Licence
23. Maximum 6 penalty points (no DD, CU80, IN endorsements)
24. DBS check required
25. Good communication skills
26. Reliable, flexible, and positive attitude
27. Own transport or accessible public transport
