Team Leader – Corporate KYC / AML
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office)
Duration: Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join a busy Corporate KYC/AML function, providing hands-on leadership and oversight of complex client due diligence activity. This role suits someone with strong presence and credibility, who is comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and motivating teams in a regulated professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach and develop a team responsible for corporate KYC and AML reviews
* Act as a senior point of escalation for complex or high-risk matters
* Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including legal, compliance and business teams
* Ensure KYC/AML processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements
* Drive consistency, quality and continuous improvement across the team’s work
* Support change initiatives and help embed best practice across the function
About You
* Proven experience in Corporate KYC/AML within a legal or professional services environment
* Previous people management or team leadership experience
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge where appropriate
* A natural “people person” with gravitas and the ability to lead by example
* Highly organised, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
