Job Description
Location: Soil Machine Dynamics, Davy Bank, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, NE28 6UZ
Working within our Innovation team, you will be responsible for constructing prototype subsea robots and their associated sub-assemblies. You will also be involved in the construction of bespoke test rigs used to prove operation and reliability. You may also be involved in the testing of robots in the laboratory, in the test tank or offsite in open water.
About The Role
You will be responsible for constructing prototype subsea robots and their associated sub-assemblies. For this role, you will require an HNC in an electrical subject and +5 years industrial experience.
Experience and Knowledge of the following is also a requirement:
* Good working knowledge of panel wiring working to electrical drawings
* Experience constructing electromechanical sub-assemblies
* Experience working in a continuous improvement environment
* Possess an understanding of the requirements for the correct assembly of electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies
* Experience stripping, crimping, and terminating cables
* Experience working with aramid or SWA umbilicals of preference but not essential
