Manager - Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping Salary £40,000 to £45,000 Vehicle, Fuel, Bonus Bordon, Hampshire & Site Based Full Time & Permanent This is an exciting opportunity to take a pivotal role in the growth and development of an established Landscaping Group with interests in Commercial and Municipal Landscaping, Private Gardens and New Build Developments. The company are the known to many Contractors and Developers and have a strong forward order book, making this the perfect time to become part of their impressive growth. As The Maintenance Manager you will provide a continuity of service after the completion of a landscape or garden construction project. The Job: The company offer an ongoing maintenance package to clients after the completion of either a landscaping or garden project and you will be responsible for all aspects of this service. Reporting to the Managing Director you will have day to day responsibility for your teams, using your professional and proactive approach to ensure that completed projects continue to reflect the company’s emphasis on quality. In addition to looking after their own projects the company are developing the maintenance department to take on a broad range of commercial, utility and municipal work. Developing this new business would be an important part of your duties. * Maintenance of all of the landscaping and other works completed by the company * Using your industry knowledge to develop new business, quoting and tendering for new work * Plan and schedule a maintenance program for all sites * Survey new sites, price and quote or tender a maintenance package. Follow-up to contract award * Audit the maintenance work, ensuring that it is to the company’s high specification * Using your horticultural knowledge to identify problems on site and instigate solutions * Ensuring compliance with all H&S regulations and the use of uniforms and PPE * The purchase / hire of machinery, materials and equipment * Recruiting and day to day management of your teams, employed and sub-contracted The Person: You will currently be working in a senior Landscape Maintenance role, running multiple sites and have at least 5 years’ experience. We are looking for an experienced Horticulturist with a good knowledge of plants, pest control and disease limitation. You are self-motivated and have the ability to be a credible representative of the company with excellent influencing and communication skills. You are professional and proactive in your approach, capable of building effective relationships with both colleagues and your clients. You are commercially astute and able to accurately and profitably price quotations, tenders and extra works. It is essential that you are proficient in the use of MS Office, have a full UK driving licence and are prepared to travel extensively within your area
