As a Deputy Manager, youll play a key role in leading teams and ensuring high-quality care is delivered every day.
Your Role as Deputy Manager (Childrens Services)
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help lead the home and ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where young people can succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes
* Assist in managing the home, ensuring it is safe, compliant, and homely
* Deliver a child-centred approach to meet individual needs
* Mentor and guide staff to maintainhigh standards of care
* Support recruitment, training, and development of team members
* Plan and manage staff rotas effectively
* Conduct supervisions and contribute to team development
* Provide leadership, direction, and practical support
* Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
* Work flexibly across shifts, including sleep-ins and long days
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Level 3 Diploma in Childrens Residential Childcare
* Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to work towards)
* Minimum two years experience in social care
* Experience completing risk assessments and reports
* Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and legislation
* Experience leading and developing a team
* Passion for supporting young people with complex needs
* Strong communication, resilience, and decision-making skills
* A proactive and committed approach
