1:1 Teaching Assistant – Part Time (Mornings Only) – September 2026 TS14 Area – £14.24 per hour Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work within a primary school in the TS14 area . This is a part-time role , working mornings only, Monday to Friday . The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support for an individual pupil , working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to help the child access learning opportunities, develop confidence, and engage positively within the classroom environment. The role will commence in September 2026 and is ongoing, with the potential to become long-term depending on the needs of the school. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is a Level 3 qualification or above in Teaching and Supporting Learning . Previous experience providing 1:1 support within a primary school setting would be advantageous. The Role Working as part of a supportive school team, the desired Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. Responsibilities may include: Providing individual support throughout the morning school session. Supporting the pupil to access learning activities and classroom routines. Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence. Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil. Supporting the development of social, emotional, and communication skills. Working closely with the class teacher to implement support strategies. Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff. Promoting positive behaviour and participation in learning. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. Be confident building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development. Be able to work effectively as part of a wider school support team.
