About Our Client

They are seeking a MIS Administrator (known as Data Manager in the job description and person specification) to join their team in Eastleigh and lead the school's data management processes.
Job Description
The key responsibilities for the Data Manager role are: Data Management System Administration
3. Provide organisational leadership in all matters relating to management information, maintenance of staff and student records, optimising the use of data management system resources within the school.
4. Design and deliver in-house training sessions for all users of the data management system, ensuring proficiency through practical guidance and resources
5. Maintain the School's data management system user database, allocate appropriate access rights, and provide ongoing support
6. To work in liaison with IT colleagues to ensure data management systems are regularly updated and maintained
7. Attend training and peer networks that support the Data Manager role, sharing best practices with data leads across the Trust
8. Serve as a key member of staff in supporting Data Protection compliance across the School Management of School data.
9. Implement and oversee processes to ensure the accurate and efficient collection and recording of data from teaching and support staff, maintaining data integrity
Assessment and analysis
10. Develop and manage accurate and insightful assessment data for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), classroom teachers, and Trust reporting, facilitating statistical analysis and comparisons, including absence records, CATS, KS2, and KS3 results for key stakeholders during the assessment cycle
11. Publish academic reports to parents of the School's students
12. Keep up to date with current guidance, requirements and best practice in relation to target setting and the effective use of student and staff data

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate is someone with the following: Qualifications & Training Essential
28. 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
29. Experience in data management
30. Experience in managing and developing data systems
31. Experience of producing accurate data for reporting
32. Evidence of relevant continuous professional development
Desirable
33. Experience working in an educational environment
34. Qualification in Information Management
35. 'A' Level (or equivalent) or a relevant degree
Experience and Skills Essential
36. Experience in data management
37. Ability to focus on detail and accuracy when compiling reports
38. Proficiency in ICT for data collection and analysis to identify areas of focus
39. Knowledge of key performance measures and access to resources produced by the DfE and Ofsted
40. Working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation, for example: Data Protection
