Job Overview
We are seeking a domiciliary optometrist to provide eye care services directly at patients’ homes in South West Wales and within the Gwent Home Visits business. You will visit patients in their own homes, assess and manage eye health, prescribe and fit spectacles, and support patients with basic tasks related to their vision.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive eye examinations and fit spectacles in patients’ homes.
* Provide advice and follow‑up care to improve patient vision and eye health.
* Assist patients with everyday tasks that depend on correct vision.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to professional standards.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and CPD activities.
Qualifications
* Qualified optometrist (required).
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to travel independently within the assigned territory and work remotely.
* Commitment to patient‑centred care and high quality service delivery.
