Qualifications
- Qualified professional or accredited counsellor with eligibility for BACP or a similar professional body. Additional mental health or therapeutic intervention qualifications are desirable.
- Well versed in child development and adept at connecting with young people.
- Highly organised and ready to take initiative.
- Honesty and empathy are essential; you genuinely care about young people and each other.

Responsibilities
Based at Avon Park School, an independent specialist day school in Rugby, you will be part of a multi‑disciplinary clinical team:
- Support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments.
- Use clinical assessment and formulation to offer individualised interventions and engagement for young people.
- Assess mental health and recommend appropriate interventions within a personalised care plan.
- Build rapport to deliver effective counselling and feedback on progress.
