We are looking for a dynamic and driven AHCP registered Clinical Photographer, who is currently working at a band 5 level, or a current band 6 who is seeking a new challenge .
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated autonomous Clinical Photography Practitioner, possessing a high level of technical competence in all modalities within clinical photography, with excellent communication skills.
The post holder wi ll undertake both clinical and some non-clinical/graphics duties and will be responsible for the clinical support, with some line management responsibilities, of trainee clinical photographers and will rotate through Health Board locations as required.
The role is demanding, so a flexible approach is essential. You will need to be an effective leader and role model and able to manage your workload and prioritise effectively .
In return, the successful candidate will be supported to develop their leadership ability and managerial skills.

The job holder will practice as a Senior Clinical Photographer, will monitor the quality and oversee the imaging training of junior Medical Illustration staff.

The post holder will work in a team of clinical photographers to produce clinical photographs / video to aid patient care, diagnosis,
teaching, research, and publications. The post holder will provide a range of photographic knowledge and skills to support a variety of
multidisciplinary teams, across a range of clinical specialties within the organisation. Working in a variety of clinical environments, the
post holder will use a combination of standardised and non-standardised photographic techniques and will:
* Assist in the development of the clinical photographic service internally and with external commissioning providers.
* Work closely with the photographic manager in the supervision of the clinical photographers and trainees and maintenance of
service including quality control and performance review for those involved in the service. To assist in the training and mentoring
of HEIW trainee clinical photographers.
* Working with a team of clinical photographers to provide a clinical photography service to SBUHB.
* Producing clinical photographic images to assist in diagnosis, for patient records, education, research, and publication purposes.
* Assisting the head of clinical photography and medical illustration in developing departmental strategy.
* Assisting in the training and mentoring of HEIW Trainee Clinical Photographers.
