Job Description

This role is based in our 5 Howick Place office.

You will be responsible for managing credit control functions, ensuring compliance with company policies, and liaising with internal teams to complete customer vendor forms. This role demands excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks based on business needs and targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor and manage outstanding customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices
2. Manage a portfolio of accounts for the relevant business pillar
3. Work to monthly targets based on cash collection and aging of invoices
4. Conduct regular follow-ups on accounts via phone and email from the date of invoice
5. Liaise with internal teams to complete necessary customer vendor forms accurately and promptly
6. Ensure all forms and related documentation comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
7. Maintain and update customer records, ensuring all information is accurate and compliant with company standards
8. Ensure all credit control activities adhere to compliance regulations and internal policies
9. Conduct compliance checks for FX and bank charge write-offs, preparing and sending reports for approval
10. Monitor and resolve shortfalls throughout the month
11. Monitor and resolve unallocated cash throughout the month
12. Review pending refunds to ensure week-on-week progress
13. Handle first-stage troubleshooting for card payments and send manual payment links where needed (restricted access for senior staff only)
14. Action chargebacks as required
15. Participate in testing and meetings for new product launches
16. Conduct regular debt reviews with internal stakeholders with prepared agenda and action points
17. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the credit control function
18. Manage workload according to business requirements (, launch dates, price breaks, event dates)
19. Maintain a caring, efficient, knowledgeable, and effective interface with customers and colleagues
20. Resolve customer queries while maintaining and enhancing customer relationships
21. Train new team members on credit control processes and procedures
22. Update process documentation as needed
23. Collate event feedback and drive action points with relevant teams

Working Arrangements

24. Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days per week office attendance required
25. Attendance at in-person events required (holidays may be restricted around these dates)
26. Prioritize workload based on business needs and targets, ensuring critical tasks are completed efficiently
27. Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
28. Work closely with various internal teams, including sales, brand finance, GBS, and customer service, to resolve issues related to credit control and customer accounts

Qualifications

29. Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role.
30. Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to credit control.
31. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
32. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
33. Proficiency in using financial systems and software.
34. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyse data, create reports, and use advanced functions (, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
35. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
