Are you passionate about literature, language, and unlocking young people’s potential? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join our vibrant and supportive secondary school community in Essex.
The role is due to start ASAP and is expected to continue for the rest of 2026 academic year, with the chance to become permanent in September.
This is an exciting opportunity to:
Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5)
✏️ Inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking
Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that drive excellent progress
Work within a collaborative and forward-thinking English department
The Ideal Candidate Will:
1. Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)
2. Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
3. Demonstrate high expectations for achievement and behaviour
4. Be committed to inclusive practice and student wellbeing
5. ECTs and experienced teachers are warmly encouraged to apply
