Description
We are looking for a Benefits Advisor to join our team here at Ampa on a 12 month FTC! You’ll work with an engaged small team that enjoys collaborating, is energised by challenges and excited by the endless possibilities of situations – there is no one answer, only the one most appropriate to the circumstance / situation!
What you will be doing:
* Be the go-to expert on all employee and partner benefits, both core and flexible. You’ll handle queries confidently, understand nuances across multiple brands and legacy entitlements, and prioritize issues effectively, escalating when needed.
* Communicate with impact: From engaging employees and partners to liaising with providers and presenting proposals to senior leaders, you’ll use excellent verbal and written communication skills to build trust and clarity across all interactions including the benefits inbox, 1:1s and benefits onboarding.
* Stay organised under pressure: With multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects, your exceptional time management and organisational skills will keep everything running smoothly.
* Leverage technology: Use benefits platforms, provider administration tools, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to manage data, reporting, as well as creating engaging content, easy-to-use reference materials and communications.
* Think critically and solve problems: Whether analysing benefit uptake, resolving benefit and provider queries, or developing proposals based on internal feedback and survey insights, you’ll apply sound judgment and creativity.
* Collaborate and listen: Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. employees and inclusion groups), providers, and intermediaries and the people team adapting to different settings to understand and provide direction / insight into handling sensitive matters with discretion.
* Deliver to deadlines: Support annual and mid-year renewals, driving the implementation of specifications through configuration to testing, support tenders and ad hoc team projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Maintain accurate records: Keep detailed documentation of policy contracts, leading the provision of data for renewals, benefit windows, platform configurations and transfer of data in relation to eligibility and M & A activity.
* Plan and execute benefit enrolment periods: From benefit design and configuration to testing and communications, you’ll ensure a seamless experience for employees.
* Manage benefit administration: Oversee enrolments, changes, provider liaison, payroll, provider, benefits platform and finance reconciliations, and benefit-in-kind calculations with precision, using Excel to validate data and produce clear summaries.
* Grow and innovate: Develop yourself by contributing to benefits strategy and projects—researching market trends, gathering employee feedback, and proposing solutions that balance choice, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.
What you will need:
* Outstanding communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in everything you do.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Microsoft Excel (including formulas, lookups, accurate data manipulation).

* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
* Collaborative approach and excellent listening skills.
* Resilience and adaptability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
