Job Title: Banksman Hourly Rate of Pay: £ 14.60 Contract Type: Permanent Type of Employment: Part Time Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 20 Shift Pattern: Monday to Saturday Location: Network Rail, St Pancras International Station, London, Greater London, England, N1 4QL Responsible for safely receiving goods delivered into the station delivery yard. Responsible to contact the goods owner within the station for collection. Temporarily hold goods with the buffer store awaiting the owner for a quick turnaround of delivery lorries within allocated delivery time slot. Keep records of delivered and picked up goods. Support the delivery driver and goods owners within the station in onward movement of delivered goods. General housekeeping of the work area and to ensure the area always remains safe and operational. Keep manual handling equipment in good working condition; ensure all broken manual handling equipment are taken out of use and report to line manager. Undertake other value added duties requested by Line Managers. Comply with site safety & operational rules and regulations at all times. Ensure standards are adhered to all times. Respond courteously to customers and management requests. Take ownership of Health and Safety for yourself and others using the delivery yard. Complete all work in accordance with current legal Health and Safety requirements. Comply with attendance system to record working hours. Hold Banksman Certification (can be completed in-house). Attend Mitie QSHE Training. Receive Operation Procedure Training. Receive Manual Handling Training. Role requires the use of PPE at all times. Fully understand your role and responsibility during emergency evacuation. Understand their responsibilities in respect of Fault, Damages, Accident & Incident reporting. Mandatory D O B (Daily Occurrence Book) completion. Be flexible to changing demands of the role. Take pride in a job well done, committed to achieving high standards.
