A friendly school in Merton seeks an engaging EYFS Teacher to lead Reception practice from January 2026. The EYFS Teacher will design rich indoor and outdoor environments, plan observation-led learning journeys and ensure children make secure progress against the Early Learning Goals. Responsibilities Plan and deliver a play-based EYFS curriculum that promotes language, curiosity and independence. Observe and assess children routinely and use evidence to shape next steps and group provision. Coordinate transition arrangements into Year 1 and maintain open communication with families. Lead collaborative planning with colleagues and support continuous improvement in the EYFS. Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are central to daily practice. Person specification Qualified teacher with significant Reception/EYFS experience and strong assessment skills. Confident in designing continuous provision and creating stimulating learning environments. Empathetic, organised and effective at engaging with parents and colleagues in Merton.
