Up to 37.5 hours per week. You will deliver a high quality comprehensive mental health service within the Early Intervention for Psychosis team. Insight is a team that has been undergoing recent development and exciting opportunities have arisen to be part of this growth.
Insight provides well rounded care following the Early Intervention for Psychosis standards. We offer those experiencing first episode psychosis a 3 year service; within the 3 years we aspire to offer a well rounded goals based care approach with the involvement of our clients throughout the journey.
Insight offers the following services delivered in house, set out by the standards of Early intervention. There will be training opportunity for those interested in these areas:

* Psychology
* Carers Group
* Coffee Group
* Acceptance Commitment Therapy
* Psychoeducation Group for friends family & carers
* Care coordination working with outside agencies/teams to ensure effective well rounded care is delivered
* Peer support is part of the model and we are working hard to develop this area

Insight is a multidisciplinary team that welcomes passionate individuals who are recovery focused and are willing to work in a trauma informed approach to those experiencing first episode psychosis.
Responsibilities
* Manage a defined caseload of 15 with a focus on providing expert assessment and treatment for people with complex mental health difficulties, primarily first episode psychosis, and working with their carers. This includes recovery co-ordination (design and co-ordination of treatment packages).
* Contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision for other members and participating in team/service development and evaluation.
* Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with staff, service users, their carers and other statutory and voluntary sector agencies; convey highly complex and sensitive information; chair clinical meetings; contribute to safe and effective day to day operations; ensure high standards of written and verbal communication.
* Undertake analytical and judgement tasks including complex risk assessments, development of risk management plans, and ongoing re-evaluation of needs and risk; maintain professional boundaries.
* Plan and organise workload and junior staff; ensure integrated and coordinated care with external agencies; ensure reviews within required time frames (e.g., CPA and funding panels).
* Deliver patient/client care, treatment and therapy with a recovery-focused approach; triage and signpost; provide specialist advice to referrers and multidisciplinary teams; safeguard and implement relevant care plans; ensure holistic and outcome-focused planning and documentation; monitor medication and health needs.
* Contribute to policy and service development; participate in audits and clinical governance; ensure compliance with CQC standards.
* Finance, equipment and resources: identify and manage stock; ensure cost-effective care and appropriate use of resources; manage petty cash as per policy.
* Human Resources: provide supervision and training; support induction of new staff and learners; maintain core training in line with workforce plans; supervise delegated tasks to appropriately skilled staff.
* Information resources and administrative duties: maintain accurate records; share information securely with key stakeholders and agencies; perform administrative duties related to service provision.
* Physical demands: travel to engage with people in their own residence or hospital settings; may sit for prolonged periods to prepare complex reports.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Qualified professional registration and current professional registration.
* Evidence of Post Graduate Courses, ongoing training and development in theory and practice in mental health nursing.
* IT Skills; mentorship training or willingness to obtain qualifications in this area.
Desirable
* Commitment to CPD and developing own potential.
* Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles in Mental Health and practice; knowledge of applying evidence-base in practice.
* Trained in HCR-20 risk assessment skills or willingness to undertake this training.
Experience
* Established and significant mental health experience; experience managing an extensive and complex caseload of clients with a range of complex mental health problems.
* Experience of working in a community mental health setting in either the statutory or voluntary sector; clinical supervision for qualified and/or support staff; experience in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environments.
* Understanding of current issues within acute mental health services, clinical governance, practice education and risk management.
