The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to cross-functional efforts applying the ImmTAX platform or other modalities to develop treatments for chronic infections such as HIV, HBV, and EBV-associated diseases. The team is involved in various stages from target discovery to clinical trials, with key preclinical research published in reputable journals.
The postholder will plan, design, and execute experiments to support the company's pipeline and technology development, ensuring project goals are met within time and budget. Responsibilities include demonstrating technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and independent thinking, as well as presenting results internally and externally, and building collaborative relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, design, and execute experiments under guidance to meet project goals within deadlines.
* Perform experiments using molecular and cellular techniques such as NextGen sequencing, DD-PCR, qPCR, cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISpots, ELISAs.
* Work in a containment level 3 (CL3) facility handling human viruses.
* Analyze data, interpret results, and provide recommendations.
* Expand scientific knowledge through literature review, conference participation, and mentoring.
* Work effectively within matrixed and cross-functional teams.
* Present findings at internal meetings and establish collaborations internally and externally.
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
Essential Qualifications:
* PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, virology, immunology, or related field with 0-2 years of experience.
* Alternatively, a BSc or MSc with significant relevant work experience.
* Experience in bench-based laboratory techniques including:
o Droplet Digital PCR, NextGen sequencing, Genomics/Transcriptomics, PCR, Mutagenesis, qPCR.
o Culturing primary cells and/or cell lines.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Immunology, HIV, HBV, EBV.
* Experience with flow cytometry, ELISAs, ELISpots.
* Viral integration site analysis.
