Job Title: National Parts, Warehousing, and Logistics Manager Reports to: Operations Director Location: Tamworth Department: Supply Chain / Operations / Logistics Job Purpose The National Parts, Warehousing, and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end management of parts inventory, warehousing operations, and logistics activities nationwide. This role ensures efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes to meet the company's operational needs, service commitments, and growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Parts & Inventory Management Oversee procurement, forecasting, and inventory control of parts across all national locations. Develop strategies to optimize parts stocking levels and manage obsolete/slow-moving stock. Collaborate with procurement to develop supplier relationships and drive cost savings. Warehousing Operations Manage the performance of regional and national warehouse facilities. Ensure compliance with safety, security, and quality standards. Drive process improvements in receiving, storing, picking, and shipping operations. Implement and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS). Logistics & Distribution Direct and coordinate national logistics, including inbound and outbound freight. Evaluate and select carriers, negotiate contracts, and manage 3PL partners. Monitor transport performance, costs, and service levels to ensure customer expectations are met. Team Leadership Lead and develop warehouse and logistics teams; set goals and conduct performance reviews. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Reporting & Analysis Generate and analyze KPIs for inventory accuracy, warehousing efficiency, and logistics performance. Prepare regular reports and present findings to senior management. Requirements 7 years of experience in parts management, warehousing, and logistics—preferably in a national/multi-site capacity. Proven leadership and team management skills. Experience with WMS, ERP, and logistics software solutions. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel nationally as required.
