Job Summary
We have an opportunity available within Aberdeenshire HSCP covering GP practice and community hospital input. The post is a maternity cover for 18 months and is available full‑time or part‑time (minimum 3 days per week). It is key to the ongoing provision of the pharmacotherapy service and promotes quality, cost‑effective prescribing of medicines across Aberdeenshire. The post holder will work onsite in GP practices and/or remotely from an agreed base within the HSCP cluster area. A full driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities
* Support GP practices and community hospitals, covering all aspects of medicines management in line with local and national guidelines.
* Deliver and maintain pharmacotherapy services within primary care and community hospitals.
* Promote quality and cost‑effective prescribing of medicines.
* Participate in medicines management and audit activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered pharmacist.
* Good communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills.
* Experience in primary care, medicines management and audit is advantageous.
* Independent Prescriber qualification is advantageous.
