We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the Stroke Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital within the Western Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of adults with complex acquired communication and swallowing disorders, with a particular focus on stroke-related conditions. This role involves managing a varied and complex caseload and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. Key Details: Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm Start Date: Immediate Contract: Until 31st March 2026 (with potential for extension) Pay Rate: £23.60 per hour (Band 7) What We Need From You Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist with adults BSc Degree in Speech and Language Therapy HCPC Registration (Health and Care Professions Council) Post-graduate qualification and/or training in dysphagia, with experience managing a complex dysphagia caseload Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD), including relevant post-graduate training Experience relevant to stroke care is essential What We Will Offer You A minimum of 28 days paid holiday (pro rata) Inclusion into our company pension scheme Free Comprehensive and ongoing annual training courses Free Uniform 24 Hour on call service that can be accessed for emergencies
