A friendly, independent accountancy practice based in Ashford is looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join their close-knit and supportive team. This well-established local firm works with a diverse and loyal client base across a wide range of industries, including owner-managed businesses, sole traders, partnerships. They provide a full suite of services including accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, management accounts.
You will be joining a welcoming team environment where collaboration is encouraged, and your development is genuinely supported. The firm prides itself on building strong relationships with clients and offering a personable, tailored service.
In this varied and hands-on role, you will be involved in preparing accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts for a broad portfolio of clients. As you progress, you will take on more client interaction and responsibility, becoming a key point of contact for your clients.

* Experience working within an accountancy practice, preparing a mix of accounts, tax, bookkeeping, VAT, or management accounts
* Ideally 1.5–2+ years of relevant experience
* AAT qualified or studying, or currently pursuing ACCA/ACA (or qualified by experience)

Requirements
You may be AAT-qualified or someone who has developed your career through hands-on experience and is looking to further build on this in a practical role. You must have experience in bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns within an accountancy practice of any size. You should have at least two years, preferably more, of experience in these areas within an accountancy practice environment.
