What the Role Typically Involves:
* Conductingvehicle inspections both in the field and remotely to assess repairviability, cost control, and safety compliance.
* Supportingclaims teams with fast, accurate technical advice.
* Auditingrepair networks and suppliers to ensure quality and service standards.
* Investigatingpotential fraud and supporting liability decisions.
* Handlingtechnical complaints and ensuring compliance with FCA and regulatorystandards.
* Providingexpert reports and, where necessary, attending court as a technicalwitness..
What We Look For:
* Atleast 3 years’ experience in motor vehicle estimating or engineering.
* Strongknowledge of vehicle construction, repair methods, and estimating tools.
* Excellentcommunication skills—able to explain complex technical issues clearly.
* Analytical,numerate, and confident in decision-making.
* Comfortableworking independently in a field-based role.
* Basicunderstanding of insurance principles and cover types.
* PCliterate and ideally a member (or working towards membership) of theIAEA.
* Willingnessto travel and occasionally stay overnight.
