Assistant Accountant Telford Permanent 8:45am – 5:00pm Mon-Fri Up to £32,000 We are working with a well-established business, based in Telford, who are looking for an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for: * Purchase invoice processing * Preparation of payment runs * Monitoring and progressing aged debtors through credit control procedures * Timely processing of employee and credit card expenses * Prepare VAT returns and undertake reconciliation * Processing of employee salaries and pension contributions using external payroll provider * Monitor and review goods received no invoices accrual * Complete monthly inter-company account reconciliations * Monthly balance sheet reconciliations * Prepare intercompany reconciliations * Complete daily bank reconciliations * Letter of credit processing for systems sales order * Processing of accruals and prepayments * Preparation and assistance with annual audit * Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts * Petty cash processing Skills and Experience Our client is looking for a candidate with proven experience in an accounts role. You will need to be happy with 50% of the role being very transactional with repetitive tasks. You will be a confident communicator with an analytical mind and a methodical approach.
