The role of a Generic Housing Officer involves working within our communities, collaborating with customers and colleagues to provide a safe and reliable landlord service. Your duties will include handling housing-related queries as part of a team, covering areas such as Guildford, Liphook, Borden, Farnham, Horsham, Cranleigh, Crawley, and Redhill. Candidates residing in or near this region are preferred.
What you'll be doing
You will oversee and manage a specific geographical patch of multi-tenure properties, focusing on tenancy and estate management, lettings, and anti-social behaviour. You should be experienced in all areas of housing management. Due to the varied workload, no two days will be the same, and flexibility is essential.

This role requires approximately 60% community presence, so willingness to travel is important. Effective communication skills are vital, as you'll interact with customers via phone, face-to-face, and letter, and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies such as police and social services.
About you
You should be resilient, adaptable, and able to manage changing workloads and deadlines. Strong time management skills and proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Office and housing management databases, are necessary. Experience with CBL systems is advantageous. Having a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for community visits. Remote working from home is possible when not out in the field, supported by a network of colleagues.
