Our Landscape Design team is seeking an Assistant Landscape Architect to work on a variety of planning and design projects. The role will be based at our head office in Guiseley, West Yorkshire, but opportunities to work remotely across Yorkshire could be considered for the right candidate. This role offers the chance to progress your career in landscape architecture and has the potential to be involved in a wide range of project types at all stages of the planning, design and implementation process. The role will include: Collaborating with our team of Landscape Architects, Ecologists and Arboriculturists. Assisting senior colleagues with project management, design development, graphic production, design work and detail drawing production. Attending site visits. Working at all stages of the planning, design and implementation process. Requirements: BA and/MA or PGDip in Landscape Architecture. Previous experience in the landscape profession. Excellent graphic, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop designs on paper as well as digitally. Strong interpersonal skills to enable collaborative working. Significant technical knowledge and a basic understanding of the RIBA/LI work stages and production of detailed design drawings. Robust IT skills, with good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign and a strong flair for design. A basic understanding of the planning system. Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel. Desirable: Experience in KeySCAPE, QGIS NBS, hand sketching and, SketchUp including digital rendering. Good analytical and written skills with a potential interest in landscape planning, including Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA).
