Senior Project Manager
Location: Sunderland with occasional travel
Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE + £5,000 Car Allowance
We’re recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join a growing engineering project delivery business operating within heavy engineering, bulk material handling and complex industrial projects across the UK and overseas.
This is a senior-level role suited to someone who can take ownership of large-scale EPC projects from start to finish, manage demanding clients and drive delivery.
Projects typically range from £5m–£10m in value across sectors including tunnelling, processing, quarrying, mining and industrial plant engineering.

The Role
* Full lifecycle project management responsibility from order handover through to installation, commissioning and final completion
* Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and contractual deliverables
* Drive project delivery across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and site installation
* Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout delivery
* Manage project reporting, forecasting and commercial performance
* Handle scope changes, variations and contractual issues professionally
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
What They’re Looking For
* Strong Senior Project Management experience within heavy engineering, construction or bulk material handling environments ideally
* Proven EPC / fixed-price contract experience is essential
* NEC3 / NEC4 contract knowledge highly desirable
* Experience managing large steelwork, installation or construction-based engineering projects
* Comfortable working directly with clients and site teams
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to protect programme, scope and margin
* Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced project environment
* Site-based project management experience preferred
* Engineering qualification or relevant technical background beneficial
