About the Role
Are you an inspiring and enthusiastic music educator with a passion for nurturing young musicians? Bedford Girls’ School is seeking a dedicated Visiting Music Teacher to join our vibrant Music Department. Working closely with the Director of Music, you will play a key role in promoting music across the school community, encouraging pupils to explore and enjoy music at all levels – from beginners to advanced performers.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality instrumental/singing tuition at times agreed with the School.
* Teach pupils of varying abilities, providing encouragement, guidance, and technical instruction.
* Prepare pupils for ABRSM (or similar) examinations, as well as GCSE and A Level performance assessments.
* Support school ensembles, concerts, festivals, and competitions where required.
* Encourage pupils to participate in extracurricular musical opportunities, developing their performance and musicianship.
* Maintain accurate records, provide reports on pupil progress, and liaise with parents at consultation evenings.
* Uphold high standards of professional conduct, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing at all times.
