Our client, operating within London's Public Sector, is currently seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer to join their team on a contractual basis for the School Streets Project. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing public engagement and communication initiatives to support and promote the project's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing communication plans to support the School Streets Project
Engaging with the community, including schools, parents, and local residents, to gather feedback and foster support for the project
Creating and distributing informative and persuasive content across various channels
Organising and attending events to promote the School Streets Project
Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging
Monitoring and evaluating the impact of communication and engagement strategies
Managing social media accounts and responding to public inquiries
Preparing detailed reports and presentations on communication activities and outcomes
Job Requirements:
Experience in communications and public engagement
Strong ability to create compelling content for different audiences
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in using social media platforms for professional purposes
Understanding of project management principles
Ability to analyse data and produce insightful reports
Experience working within the Public Sector is desirable but not mandatory
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in communications, public relations, or a related field
