Salary: Up to £26,575.61 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
Overview
Werndale Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals and clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Materials Assistant to join their team of staff in the Materials department.
This is a full‑time role for 37.5 hours a week with a flexible shift pattern.
Responsibilities
* Act as an active member of the Materials Department, involved in the day‑to‑day running of the department.
* Provide an effective and high‑quality materials management service to all internal customers.
* Ensure stock availability through correct order processing and replenishing of pre‑approved stock and products for central stores or on behalf of hospital departments.
* Maintain all departmental paperwork and files in good order with reference to accuracy, appropriateness and availability.
* Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
Qualifications
* A minimum of GCSE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
* Proficiency in the use of a PC, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision.
* Customer service skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
