About Role
As a Roofing Instructor, you will deliver engaging, compliant training programmes combining practical demonstrations with classroom-based learning.
Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-quality teaching that meets Ofsted EIF standards (intent, implementation, impact)
*
Assessing learners’ competence against industry and regulatory frameworks
*
Preparing lesson plans, materials, and assessment documentation
*
Conducting workplace assessments where required
*
Supporting apprentices in achieving certifications and preparing for End-Point Assessment (EPA)
*
Embedding English, maths, digital skills, safeguarding, Prevent, and British values into delivery
*
Maintaining accurate learner progress records and completing SMART progress reviews
*
Ensuring full compliance with ESFA, awarding body, and internal quality frameworks
*
Conducting risk assessments and ensuring health & safety compliance at all times
You will play a key role in driving:

High learner satisfaction (target 95%+)
*
Strong achievement rates (minimum 85% EPA completion)
*
High retention and timely progress tracking
*
Continuous improvement through CPD and peer engagement
Ideal Candidate
*
Extensive industry experience as a Roofer
*
Recognised Roofing qualifications
*
Teaching or training qualification (or willingness to work towards one, such as Level 3 Award in Education and Training)
*
Strong knowledge of roofing regulations, work at height legislation, and industry best practice
*
Excellent communication and learner engagement skills
*
A strong commitment to health & safety and quality training delivery
Desirable:
*
Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, D32/D33)
*
Previous experience as a trainer or instructor
*
First Aid qualification
