Divisional Finance Director - Manufacturing - South Coast
Robert Half have exclusively engaged with a global manufacturing group that has strong investor backing and an appetite for growth. Due to the current Finance Director exiting, they now seek to recruit an energetic, driven and commercially astute finance leader to work alongside a highly experienced, award winning and inspirational CEO, drive a culture of business partnering, lead M&A activities, oversee a team of 25+ staff globally and continue to develop their growth strategy.
Duties:
The Financial Director coordinates financial planning, accounting management practices and relations with financial institutions and the Group through their individual responsibilities or those of their employees, ensuring compliance with Group procedures and regulations.
They also are part of the Senior Leadership Team providing Strategic input & leading the Affiliate to sustainable profitability.
* Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the finance and IT teams of c20 employees plus an offshore accounts payable team.
* Participate as a member of the Exec team, from both a financial and business viewpoint, in setting the overall strategy and direction of the business, giving visibility of the financial and business consequences,
* Overall responsibility for all financial controls, transactions and accountancy matters, including financial forecasting and reporting on monthly accounts and variances in accordance with the strategy.
* Lead and manage the budget process including the preparation and presentation of annual budgets, financial forecasts and the preparation/submission of Annual Statutory Accounts
* Provide financial advice to the CEO and other Senior leaders and ensure that they receive appropriate levels of reporting and financial analysis to guide their decision making,
* Review and sign off all financial reports and forecasts that are sent to Group,
* Assure adherence to US GAAP principles and Group policies and that they represent the financial position of the operating unit,
* Report to the CEO and Exec team in strategic business decisions that lead to the achievement of Plan, value-based pricing, productivity and cost saving, and profitable growth objectives.
* Assist the CEO in the communication, reporting, and interaction with Group, notably the group controller and finance organization.
* Lead on the monthly Board Report and support the finance element of the quarterly Business Unit Manager Presentation packs.
* Provide final sign off on the company payroll.
* Manage key external financial relationships, auditors, bankers, tax advisors etc
* Lead any up-grades to financial analysis and reporting tools including leading the new ERP system implementation project.
* Strengthen the reliability of the reported data, and forecasts
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Strong financial awareness of UK and US accounting
* High levels of accuracy
* Business & results orientated
* Significant people and team management experience
* IT knowledge and awareness
* Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making
* Excellent communication/presentation skills
* Strong influencing skills
* Trustworthy with high integrity.
* Qualified to degree level
* Qualified member of an approved accountancy body (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Experience in a finance role within an international environment
* Experience of a manufacturing environment
* Experience of managing internal controls, forecasting and contracts
* Experience of working as a member of a Senior Management team
* Ideally experience of an ERP implementation programme
* Experience of managing IT teams

* A highly competitive base salary of between £100,000 - 130,000 P/A based on the candidates experience
* A performance related bonus of up to 35% of salary
