Business Development Director / Head of Growth


Our client is a highly established B2B marketing communications agency with more than three decades of industry expertise. During that time, they have built an exceptional reputation, earning multiple industry awards and developing long-standing partnerships with some of the world’s leading technology, SaaS and telecommunications brands.


The agency specialises in Account-Based Marketing, demand generation, content strategy and fully integrated B2B marketing programmes. Having successfully navigated market cycles over the years, they continue to go from strength to strength. While others in the sector are currently facing challenges, this agency is experiencing sustained growth, with multiple opportunities emerging across the business.


As a result of continued client wins and organic expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Business Development Director also referred to a Head of Growth to work closely with the Managing Director and senior growth team. This role will focus on shaping and executing a strategic new business growth plan across the UK and EMEA B2B markets.



The Opportunity


This is a highly strategic yet hands-on growth role, ideal for someone who thrives on building meaningful client relationships and delivering targeted, insight-led new business strategies within the B2B marketing agency space.



Key Responsibilities


* Develop and implement a structured new business strategy aligned to agency growth objectives
* Build and maintain a high-quality, sustainable new business pipeline
* Lead and contribute to new business pitches and proposal development
* Identify market trends, competitor activity and emerging growth opportunities
* Create and deliver thought leadership content that supports brand positioning and lead generation
* Represent the agency at industry events, networking forums and speaking engagements
* Engage confidently with C-suite stakeholders and senior marketing leaders
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure joined-up, strategic growth delivery




Skills & Experience Required


* Demonstrable experience developing and delivering successful new business strategies within a B2B marketing agency
* Essential background working within a B2B marketing agency environment
* Proven track record of generating and converting high-value new business opportunities
* Strong industry network, ideally across technology, SaaS, financial services or telecommunications sectors
* Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in marketing agency business development or growth roles
* Strong research and market insight capabilities
* Commercially astute, strategic and targeted approach to business development (not volume-led outreach)
* A collaborative mindset, recognising that successful growth is driven through teamwork
* A genuine desire to become part of a long-term agency success story

Package


* Salary: £100,000 – £130,000 (depending on experience)
* Performance-related bonus
