As a small team working on enterprise solutions, we are looking for the successful candidate to strengthen our internal processes and to work collaboratively with colleagues across the Society. The IT and change team is heavily involved in the programme of work to ensure business continuity as the new digital services become the new way of working. What will you be doing? The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects and for promoting consistency across the business in the way projects are proposed, approved, managed, measured and maintained. Projects will involve transformation changes in technology and systems and changes to business processes. About The Role KEY DUTIES INCLUDE: Responsible for full project lifecycle (from requirements gathering /discovery through to implementation and handover to BAU) Manage project requests from the business and support the preparation of business cases and project initiation documentation. Prepare and own project plans, risk registers, resource plans and project governance documentation. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget to agreed quality standards. Work and communicate effectively with key team members to ensure buy-in to project plans and positive stakeholder engagement. Provide project management support and guidance to managers and supervisors throughout the business. Produce project reports showing progress against outstanding milestones including milestones and budget, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies. Liaise between business, technical and 3rd party teams effectively to deliver various business and technical benefits. Support the transition of change initiatives to business as usual by ensuring testing, documentation, training. and benefits realisation processes are in place. Assist with the provision of cost control in connection with budgets; providing estimates and monitoring expenditure; and assisting with progressing contract and fee payment on a wide variety of projects. Manage procurement processes from the gathering of service, technical and business requirements, shortlisting, bidder meetings, contract negotiation to successful supplier appointment and service introduction. Lead Acceptance Testing and manage change required to integrate new processes and services into business as usual and 3rd parties service introduction, when needed. Required Criteria Strong academic credentials including a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, IT, Project Management or similar. Strong experience of leading and/or working within multi-disciplinary project teams, multiple internal and external stakeholders, to implement changes to systems, workflows, policies and procedures. Experience of working within teams to deliver digital projects, business transformation or software implementations. Sound understanding of various Project Management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in the use of MS Project or similar project management application with the ability to produce project plans and reports. Desired Criteria Experience of working digital programmes and IT systems and introducing a new technical service. Experience of working within the financial services and/or mutual sectors.
