The successful candidate will be or will have the potential to become an outstanding teacher. Motivation, commitment and a genuine desire to improve outcomes for our students, along with a passion for Maths which enthuses both students and teachers alike are all minimum requirements. • The successful candidate will have the ability to plan and teach up until at leastKey Stage 5. Ability to teach A Level Maths and Further Maths would be desirable, but not essential.) • We are looking for an outstanding teacher who will be innovative and enthusiastic and committed to being part of our Maths team. • The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the planning and preparation and refinement of new courses and schemes of work as appropriate. • We are very proud of the extra-curricular provision at Archbishop Holgate’s and a commitment to playing a part in activities beyond the classroom is important. • The successful candidate will also be a Form Tutor. Requirements • To fulfil the Conditions of Employment as listed in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. • To have strong outcomes at GCSE. • To reflect and evaluate on own practice and modify or amend as appropriate. • To keep up-to-date with current educational thinking/best practice by attending relevant In-Service Training.
