📍 South East England | Hybrid (2 days/week in office)

💰 £30-£40/hr (DOE) | Outside IR35
🕒 37 hours/week | Full UK Working Rights + DBS Required
Are you a seasoned Highways Design Engineer with a strong track record in local council authority schemes? Ready to shape infrastructure that makes a real impact?
What You’ll Be Doing
* Designing highway schemes from concept to detailed design
* Preparing contract documents and supporting construction phases
* Planning and programming small‑scale schemes
* Estimating and managing project costs and consultant fees
* Ensuring Health & Safety and sustainability are built into every solution
* Liaising with developers, planners, and consultants on Section 38 & 278 agreements
* Reviewing and checking detailed submissions for compliance and adoptability
What You’ll Bring
* RQF Level 4‑6 in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in highways, infrastructure, and civil engineering design
* Strong knowledge of relevant specs, policies, and procedures
* Proficiency in CAD tools (Civil 3D, MX, AutoCAD)
* A proactive mindset and collaborative approach
