Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Bristol
The Role – SEND Teaching Assistant with ANZUK
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide both one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils to access learning, regulate behaviour, and build positive relationships within a structured and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH needs, and other additional needs
* Assisting with lesson delivery and adapting activities to ensure accessibility
* Supporting EHCP targets and behaviour support plans
* Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
* Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Providing personal care support where required
* Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a school or specialist setting
* Understanding of strategies to support pupils with additional needs
* Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills
* Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
* A collaborative approach and willingness to follow direction from teaching staff
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* A valid Right to Work in the UK
* This role is not suitable for applicants without a valid UK Right to Work.
