Overview: As the FP&A Marketing Finance Business Partner, you will provide support on all financial planning processes within the combined Yogurt & Desserts business unit, acting as a key business partner to the Marketing team, providing day‑to‑day financial and commercial decision support.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the controlling month‑end process: day‑4 month‑end review meeting, management of month‑end timetable, bridging analysis to explain profit results vs. forecast, budget and prior year, and day‑6 month‑end reporting pack.
* Business partner key brand teams: provide financial and commercial decision support and insight to drive the business forwards across all Yogurts & Desserts brands; manage brand P&Ls; input into the PEP process; key challenges and inputs for monthly brand review meetings; handle day‑to‑day queries; deliver ad‑hoc reporting and analysis as required.
* Manage the financial input to the Clarity system and ensure alignment with financial plans, including post‑launch reviews.
* Provide support & challenge to the Marketing team on marketing budgets, owning the quarterly forecast process.
* Deliver financial input into the brand review meeting cycle (brand P&L performance month‑to‑date, YTD and full‑year forecast).
* Support annual (budget) and mid‑term (3‑yr) planning: develop and manage timetables for the total Y&D Business Unit; analyze branded business performance and variances; prepare standard Group financial charts & presentations; deliver profitability reporting to Group (total Y&D BU) including scorecards, supplementary schedules, weekly volume reporting and first point of contact for ad‑hoc queries.
* Support marketing investment budget: pre‑evaluate investment decisions, freeze‑pot management, quarterly forecasting, and budget planning.
* Coordinate the monthly BOP financial forecast: produce P&Ls for both branded and PL businesses, evaluate constrained demand plans, and highlight gaps to targets.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified accountant (CIMA preferable) and graduate level (2:1 minimum in business discipline).
* Essential specialist/technical skills: accuracy in fast‑paced commercial environment, pragmatic judgment of materiality, decision‑support challenge to commercial teams, structured approach to managing multiple projects, holistic view across commercial sphere, previous commercial finance experience in decision‑support role.
* Desirable specialist/technical skills: experience in financial planning & reporting, competency in SAP (CO‑PA), experience working within a FMCG environment.
* Soft skills: building strong relationships across commercial teams, dynamic and impactful, driven individual eager for role/career progression, high accountability for role responsibilities, projects and initiatives.
