Hooklift Driver
Location: Edinburgh
Job Type: Temporary ongoing
Rate of pay: £15.53 per hour
Working Hours: 4 days on 4 days off. 40 hours per week
We are seeking a skilled Hooklift Driver to support operations at our Client’s busy Recycling Centre. You will play a crucial role in the efficient collection and transport of recyclable materials, contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate hooklift vehicles to collect and transport recycling containers.
* Deliver materials to and from various recycling facilities and client sites.
* Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with safety standards.
* Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
* Work closely with the recycling team to maintain high operational efficiency.
* Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
* Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
* Current CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
* Valid tacho card
* Previous experience operating hooklift vehicles is essential.
* Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
* Knowledge of Edinburgh’s road network and surrounding areas.
* A positive attitude and ability to work independently.
