The Business Architect plays a critical role in supporting the development, agreement, and implementation of business architecture strategies that enable sustainable digital transformation across the organisation and its partners.

As a BA will help shape enterprise-wide direction, engage with business leaders, and advocate for best practices and emerging technologies. As a member of the architecture community, you contribute to architectural governance, collaboration, and continual strategic improvement
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate across domains and programmes to support the development and implementation of business architecture strategy.
Actively engage with stakeholders to communicate strategic direction and highlight areas for improvement, innovation, and risk mitigation.
Design business architectures that integrate people, technology, and processes to meet business outcomes and deliver long-term value.
Influence and contribute to architectural governance and assurance processes, managing risk across complex domains.
Champion the use of architectural patterns, standards, and methods to enable consistent delivery and design excellence.
Provide strategic problem framing and contribute to the design of appropriate solutions that are aligned with organisational objectives.
Support architecture community health and help teams to adopt agile, secure, and interoperable design principles.
Foster collaboration, mentor peers, and help drive continuous improvement in architecture practice and delivery.

What you need to succeed in the role
Proven experience designing and evolving business architectures that align technology, people, processes, and policy to meet organisational goals
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences across teams and domains
Understanding of business architecture frameworks (e.g. BIZBOK) and experience applying architectural principles, patterns, and standards in practice
Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, BCS) and experience applying architectural principles, patterns, and standards in practice
Demonstrated ability to support strategic planning, identify organisational risks, and contribute to long-term technology roadmaps
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams using agile delivery methods, with an appreciation of how architecture supports iterative delivery
Familiarity with governance processes, including managing architectural assurance and contributing to effective decision-making across programmes
Ability to interpret and respond to emerging technologies and trends, translating them into enterprise-level opportunities or mitigations
Excellent collaboration and mentoring skills, contributing to a strong enterprise architecture community and knowledge-sharing culture.
