The role
As a Programme Delivery Director, you’ll be at the heart of one of the UK’s most critical defence programmes. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape and execute strategy, lead large multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the seamless delivery of major warship support programmes.
Day-to-day, you’ll lead the delivery of complex, high-value programmes, ensuring performance, safety, and collaboration are at the forefront of every decision.
* Building and leading integrated delivery teams across Project Management, Engineering, SHEQ, Commercial, and Supply Chain
* Acting as the primary interface with customers and strategic partners
* Driving continuous improvement and business transformation
* Championing safety first culture and meeting contractual HSSE obligations
* Achieving or exceeding financial targets including revenue, margin, and cash flow
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires ad hoc travel to Rosyth based on Project and team requirements.
Essential experience
* Extensive leadership experience in industrial environments, guiding large multidisciplinary teams
* Proven track record of delivering major programmes in regulated sectors
* Experience leading projects from bid through delivery to close-out
* Strong stakeholder management, including Military and Government engagement
* Deep knowledge of project controls, risk, cost management, and supply chain performance
Qualifications
* APM Chartered (ChPP) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
* Proven/demonstrable experience will also be considered
Security clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
