We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Specialist to lead the design, development, and governance of innovative digital solutions that drive business transformation.
In this remote-working role, you will play a key part in building scalable applications, automating processes, and managing migrations to SharePoint Online, while collaborating with global teams to maximize platform potential. Occasional travel to our head office in Pembridge (Herefordshire) and infrequent visits to remote sites worldwide may be required.
Responsibilities of our SharePoint and Power Platform Technical Applications Support Specialist
Design and Deliver Solutions
Lead the development, deployment, and governance of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and SharePoint environments, ensuring alignment with Microsoft best practices and business objectives.
Maintain and Enhance Systems
Support and maintain Kingspan Insulation’s SharePoint and Power Platform estate, including existing apps, flows, and divisional SharePoint sites, while driving new developments to maximize platform potential.
Migration and Integration
Oversee technical direction for migrations from on-premises and other storage solutions to SharePoint Online, collaborating with Group IT and other stakeholders to support acquisitions and digital transformation.
Support and Training
Provide second- and third-line support for Power Platform services, deliver user training, mentor citizen developers, and ensure effective handovers of solutions.
Governance and Documentation
Ensure adherence to change control processes, maintain accurate documentation of systems and procedures, and contribute to IT knowledge base for service improvements.
Analytics and Reporting
Build insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI in collaboration with the BI team, and stay current with Microsoft updates to recommend adoption strategies.
What we are looking for in our SharePoint and Power Platform Technical Applications Support Specialist
Qualifications & Training
1. Microsoft certifications (PL-600, PL-400, PL-200)
2. Desirable: Prince2 Practitioner, and ITIL awareness
Experience & Key Skills
3. Strong knowledge of SharePoint 365 (permissions, document management, page editing) and migration from older versions
4. Experience designing, implementing, and governing SharePoint solutions (intranets, workflows, security, compliance)
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) with 2+ years’ experience
6. Understanding of Microsoft Dataverse, Teams, Dynamics 365; Power BI reporting and dashboards
7. Knowledge of SharePoint client-side development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and basic C#, SQL
8. Familiarity with Power Platform CLI, ALM, and Git/DevOps pipelines (advantageous)
9. Ability to debug/fix PowerShell scripts
10. Project management skills (Microsoft Project, Visio) and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities
11. Experience handling demanding workloads
