Solution Architect (Secure Military Systems) Christchurch or Frimley (flexible hybrid) Competitive Salary+Excellent Benefits
My client is a multinational aerospace & defense organisation looking for a number of Solutions Architects to join their team based in either Christchurch or Frimley. They will also consider other locations south of the M4 motorway.
You will work as part of the Digital Intelligence team, collaborating on the latest challenges facing their UK and international customers, brought together to influence requirements and propose new solutions in a growing and stimulating business.
Responsibilities
* Design overall military digital defence solutions that meet customer and end‑user needs.
* Collaborate with bidding, sales and third parties to propose innovative, competitive, achievable and value‑for‑money solutions.
* Document high‑ and low‑level designs that align with customer requirements.
* Write compelling technical proposals to support bids and pre‑sales.
* Present solutions and influence customer strategies and requirements.
* Conduct horizon scanning of current and emerging technology trends and innovations.
Your skills and experiences
* Solid, proven experience across defence domains for UK MoD and NATO programmes, possibly specific to Land, Naval or Air.
* Experience working and delivering UK MoD, NATO or wider international defence projects, applying technology effectively to solve complex technical problems while delivering solutions on time and within budget, with familiarity with relevant UK MoD and/or NATO standards.
* Experience with SATCOM, Antennas, Radio Equipment, or Radar.
* Strong technical depth across digital technologies and integration strategies for military platforms, with a natural ability to analyse problems, research solutions, and make timely, well‑reasoned technical decisions.
* Demonstrate commercial awareness and sound business acumen, enabling design and delivery of operationally effective and value‑for‑money solutions.
* Strong defence background.
