Planner Location: Cheltenham Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well regarded and growing planning consultancy in their search for a Planner to join their Cheltenham based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner to work on a diverse range of planning projects across the residential, commercial and mixed use sectors. The role would suit a motivated Planner looking to develop their consultancy experience within a collaborative, client-focused environment. The Role As a Planner, you will be involved in the delivery of planning advice across projects at varying stages, from initial site appraisals through to planning applications and appeals. Key responsibilities include: Preparing and managing planning applications and supporting documentation Undertaking planning appraisals and policy research Supporting appeal submissions and Local Plan representations Liaising with local authorities, consultees and clients Assisting senior planners with project delivery and client management About You To be successful in this Planner role, you will ideally have: A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline Experience working in a planning consultancy or local authority environment A good understanding of the UK planning system Strong written and verbal communication skills A proactive and organised approach Progress toward RTPI accreditation (or willingness to work towards it) Why Apply?
