About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Everyone working here understands that our Residents are people just like them, with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organizing essential fundraising events. Whether you’re encouraging Residents to socialise more effectively, developing new activities based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, you will do so with kindness and consideration.
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, and strong planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should be able to manage your time effectively and communicate considerately with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. It’s important that you can recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
We offer full training, providing a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will enjoy a variety of benefits supporting your well-being and professional development, including:
* Hourly rate subject to experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG.
* Free uniform.
* A nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more.
* Company pension scheme.
* 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays.
* Group life assurance cover.
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible pay access.
* Learning and development support, including qualifications.
* GP online service for round-the-clock consultations.
* Learning from experienced colleagues within a dedicated team.
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores.
* Free Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support.
* Recognition schemes like ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards.
* Refer a friend scheme offering up to £1000 per referral.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where our workforce reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and aim for a swift onboarding process from offer to start date.
