A market-leading organisation is looking for a Senior Azure Engineer to join their high-performing infrastructure team. This is a hands‑on engineering role where you’ll design, build, and enhance secure, scalable Azure‑based hosting and backup services across hybrid and multi‑tenant environments.
You’ll play a key part in shaping the organisation’s cloud roadmap – driving modernisation, improving resilience, and delivering high‑quality hosting solutions that support real business impact.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Designing, implementing, and maintaining public/private cloud hosting and backup solutions.
* Producing high‑ and low‑level designs alongside clear technical documentation.
* Ensuring all platforms remain secure, highly available, flexible, and efficient.
* Leading the technical delivery of cloud, hosting, and backup service projects.
* Assessing and integrating new technologies into a hybrid environment.
* Working closely with service owners, PMs, and engineering teams to align delivery.
* Providing technical governance and ensuring compliance with architecture standards.
* Supporting capacity management, forecasting, and availability planning.
* Driving continual service improvement and contributing to long‑term cloud strategy.
* Mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practice across the team.
What You’ll Bring
* Experience delivering enterprise‑level cloud or hybrid infrastructure solutions.
* Knowledge of virtualisation, hyper‑converged infrastructure, and backup tech.
* Ability to produce detailed design documentation and technical standards.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in complex environments.
* Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure‑by‑design approaches.
* Comfortable engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
* Experience in a managed services or multi‑tenant environment.
* Knowledge of VMware, Nutanix, Rubrik, or similar enterprise platforms.
* Familiarity with architecture frameworks or processes.
* Hybrid working with strong flexibility.
