Job Summary
OMRAX LIMITED is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead and oversee all on-site operations at our Pocklington location. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager will take full charge of managing all departments, ensuring smooth operations, driving continuous improvement, solving business challenges, and hiring staff as needed. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving business growth, optimizing e-commerce performance, and implementing innovative solutions across the company’s multiple online sales platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Report directly to the Managing Director, providing regular updates on business performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
* Take full ownership of managing all departments, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering operational excellence.
* Oversee and optimize multi-channel e-commerce operations and online marketplace performance (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Wayfair, The range .....).
* Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to increase sales, customer engagement, and brand reach.
* Identify, propose, and implement business improvements, process optimizations, and automation solutions.
* Serve as the key problem-solver, proactively addressing operational issues, bottlenecks, or risks.
* Lead the recruitment and management of staff when necessary, building and nurturing a high-performing team.
* Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving revenue and profitability targets.
* Ensure efficient use and integration of software systems, IT tools, and technologies to support operations.
* Analyze business and marketplace data to make informed, data-driven decisions.
* Drive and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction across all platforms.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in a senior management role, directly overseeing all operational departments.
* Proven success managing multi-channel e-commerce businesses and online marketplaces.
* Strong leadership, team-building, and staff management capabilities, including recruitment and performance management.
* Deep understanding of marketing strategies, digital sales, and brand development.
* Experience introducing business process improvements and automation solutions.
* Solid understanding of software systems, IT tools, and technology integrations supporting e-commerce operations.
* Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical, data-driven, and improvement-oriented mindset.
* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
