Join Us as a Key Account Manager
We're seeking an experienced
Key Account Manager
to take full ownership of a strategically important portfolio of accounts and play a pivotal role in expanding access to our products across the UK.
This is more than a sales role—it's a
strategic, relationship-led position
where your insight, influence, and commercial expertise will directly shape healthcare pathways and patient access.
What You'll Do:
As a Key Account Manager at Curium, you will be the
single point of accountability
for a defined group of existing and potential key accounts. You'll build trusted, long-term partnerships, develop robust account strategies, and execute commercial agreements that deliver value for customers and sustainable growth for Curium.
This role combines
field-based customer engagement
with
office-based collaboration
, including a minimum of
2 days per week in our Portsmouth office
, working closely with Customer Services and Sales Operations.
Identify, Segment & Map Key Accounts
* Identify and prioritise key and emerging accounts within your territory
* Map complex stakeholder networks and decision-making matrices across accounts
Develop & Implement Account Plans
* Build and execute tailored
account plans
aligned with national and portfolio strategy
* Identify growth opportunities and collaborate with Sales Management to accelerate execution
* Contribute to leadership reviews and internal account management processes
Deliver Budgets & Sales Performance
* Own
forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking
for your territory
* Consistently deliver against
quarterly and annual sales targets
Engage & Influence Key Decision Makers
* Act as the
primary customer interface
, coordinating Curium's internal expertise to deliver best-in-class account management
* Engage a wide range of stakeholders, including
clinicians, commissioners, finance, procurement, GPOs, hospital networks, and payers
* Support product launches, training, evidence-based selling, and market analysis
* Build and leverage
Key Opinion Leader (KOL)
relationships
* Represent Curium at scientific congresses and industry events
Develop & Execute Commercial Deals
* Lead
contract negotiations, tenders, pricing strategies, and commercial initiatives
* Grow market share, optimise pricing, and secure long-term contractual partnerships
* Develop compelling,
account-specific value propositions
, including health-economic insights
* Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to execute account-level strategies
Maximise Access to Curium Products
* Understand and influence
commissioning pathways, guidance, and healthcare policy trends
* Design and deliver efficiency tools for commissioners and payers (e.g. service redesign, data analytics, joint working)
* Share regional insights and market intelligence across the wider KAM team
What We're Looking For:
Education
* Life-sciences related degree (medical, scientific, pharmacy preferred)
* Business Administration qualification a strong plus
Experience
* 5+ years' successful field sales experience
in pharmaceuticals or healthcare
* Prior
Key Account Management
experience highly desirable
* Strong understanding of
UK national and local healthcare systems
* Proven success in
complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations
Skills
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Strong commercial and analytical capability
* Intermediate Excel skills
(PivotTables, lookups, data analysis, charts)
* Proficient in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
* Valid UK driving licence
