Celentyx Ltd is a successful pharmaceutical research and development company (this position will be based at the Birmingham, UK site), undertaking high-level immune-focussed
in vitro
research using human primary cells and tissues relevant to immuno-oncology, inflammation, neuroinflammation and fibrosis.
As part of our ongoing expansion, we are currently looking for highly motivated, hard-working individuals to join our
in vitro
biology, pathology and pharmacology teams. These teams run a wide range of assays using techniques such as multi-colour (spectral) flow cytometry, high-throughput confocal microscopy, multiplex cytokine assays, 3D- and organotypic culture and RNAseq. Successful applicants will be an integral part of a dynamic and flexible teams that deliver a variety of high-level and often bespoke research to strict timescales.
Prospective candidates should hold a degree in immunology, pharmacology or another relevant subject and for the Senior/Principal Scientist positions, preferably a PhD or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience and high-level competence (both practical and theoretical) in human cellular and molecular immunology (including an understanding of signalling pathways leading to immune cell responses),
in vitro
immunology (including performing complex assays involving purified immune cells), and multi-parametric flow cytometry are preferred. Experience working with human tissue and/or industrial experience would be an advantage. In addition, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently are essential.
