Job Description:
We are actively recruiting for Occupational Therapist to join a community-based service in Liskeard, Cornwall. This role is centred on delivering high-quality, person-focused care while supporting service efficiency and reducing dependence on long-term care packages.
The successful candidate will work directly with adults in the community, managing their own caseload and carrying out regular face-to-face assessments and interventions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Complete community-based occupational therapy assessments
2. Support individuals to maintain and improve independence and wellbeing
3. Recommend practical, proportionate interventions to minimise reliance on ongoing care packages
4. Manage a varied caseload with regular in-person visits
5. Work collaboratively with health and social care professionals
Essential Requirements
6. Qualified and registered Occupational Therapist
7. Substantial post-qualification experience in a community setting
8. Strong preference for experience within Adult Social Care
9. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple cases effectively
10. Willingness and ability to undertake regular face-to-face visits
Desirable
11. Knowledge of strengths-based and prevention-focused practice
12. Experience contributing to service efficiency or cost-reduction initiatives
Additional Information
Weekly pay every Friday via PAYE, plus holiday pay.
This is a temporary position with the potential to become ongoing or permanent. Flexible working hours are available; full-time is preferred, though part-time options can be considered.
